The Grind and The Glory

When you hit rock bottom, as you sometimes will,When the clouds above seem dark and still,
When all seems lost, with hope so little,
Take heart, restart, let ambition trill.
It is just a page in the book of life,
Or could stretch a little more - struggles rife,
The more chiseled the diamond, the greater the shine,
Put up with the grind, no time to whine!
Life will test you, who said it was easy?
When hurdles obstruct you, it cannot be breezy,
Take it on the chin, you are iron, not gallium,
You can settle it all, for you are God’s precious alum.
What rocks your boat today could turn into chance,
Your efforts could alter those dark celestial plans,
Don’t deter, nor derail - do not spare battles any,
Your trials might light up the path for souls distraught many.
So be the Polaris of that veiled, sullen expanse,
Outshine your destiny - be the knight, fight head-on with a lance,
What seems like eternity will wilt into the past,
But a past writ in gold; roar on, let the lesson last!
