The Curious Case of Mr. Shadow

Mr. Shadow was quite a puss with a personality;
One had better not meddle with his individuality.
Not one to be cowardly or shy,
As a human, he would pass for a perfect spy!
Every morning as I’d leave my house for work,
He would greet me with an expression that resembled a smirk!
Calm and composed, he wouldn’t raise a claw,
Try looking for one, you could spot not a flaw.
Talking of spots, he was a feline black and white,
His walk exuded confidence - virtuous and polite.
Never heard him meow, never saw him take flight,
But to watch him prey was always a sight!
Dear Mr. Shadow, are you a cat or a human?
You amaze all thy neighbours with your sharp acumen.
At times, I wish you had the gift of the gab;
You would be the ideal partner to sit and grab
A cup of hot coffee, as we drift into a colloquy,
Manoeuvring through worldly affairs like a skilful jockey!
