Sibling Love

Best friend and a foe, all rolled into one;
For those who have it will trade it for none.
A blessing from above, you grow up with,
A sibling is a soulmate who shares your filth.
When fights and brawls stir up a storm,
And mom hurling her slippers becomes quite the norm.
Those are the very days that you will cherish,
Much long after that, they would perish.
Blossoms and springs, or come harsh hailstorms,
You know they will stick by you in all forms.
Through words of wisdom or those of praise,
They will lift you up in every phase.
As we grow and live lives increasingly distant,
The bond stays cemented, for love's always existent.
From kicks and bellows to calls and gifts,
It makes a journey, but the love never shifts.
