ONE EARTH

One earth is all there is,
To live, to learn, to grow;
There may not be another,
So mind the way you go.
The sapling that grows today,
Sees lesser of its kind;
Plant a hope today to see,
A greener world unwind.
The glacier’s coat is thinning,
And the fear doesn’t allay;
“Will you switch off that engine please?”,
It asks in dismay.
What we do today decides,
What our future holds;
So take care of your mother, brethren,
For in her lap your life unfolds.
