Hidden Treasures

The sky upon me, blue and bright,
Hides a zillion treasures beneath its light,
But the stars impish, come dancing to the fore,
As dusk sweeps its sheets on the celestial floor.
An eagle, a ram, a bear and a dove,
All hint to a fable, hand-in-glove,
And all this while, the jaunty ivory moon,
Strolls through the alley, of clouds’ massive platoon.
And then the brightest planet by far,
The Venus is seen mocking a saintly star,
Glowing in the glory of admiration and hymn,
From mortals below, as they are glued to its sight.
As the day breaks with its first light,
The ram, the moon, the dove, all take flight,
Vanishing into the cerulean sky,
They wait patiently for the dusky blue dye.
But now the ray of the sun upon the beads,
Of rain refracts into the paradise, and leads,
To tints divine, archlike, resplendent,
Adorning the heavens with its chromatic pendant.
